Notice of Intended Marriage: File a notice of intended marriage with the Marriage Registrar of the district where at least one of the parties has resided for at least 30 days immediately preceding the date of the notice. This notice is under the Special Marriage Act, 1954.

Publication of Notice: The notice is published by the registrar, and a 30-day waiting period follows during which objections can be raised.

Objections: If no objections are received within 30 days, the marriage can proceed. If objections are raised, the Registrar will investigate and decide whether the marriage can take place.

Documents Required for Court Marriage:

Proof of Age: Birth certificate, passport, or other valid documents.
Proof of Residence: Address proof such as an Aadhaar card, utility bill, etc.
Affidavit: Affidavit stating the marital status (unmarried, divorced, widowed) of both parties.
Passport-Sized Photographs: Typically 4-6 photographs.
NOC from Embassy/Consulate: As discussed, for the foreign national.
Proof of Divorce/Death: If either party was previously married,
Marriage Ceremony: After the 30-day period, the marriage ceremony is conducted in the presence of the Marriage Registrar and three witnesses.

Marriage Certificate: The Marriage Registrar issues a marriage certificate, which is a legal proof of marriage.
